A Salute to North American Aviation
July 11 - 12
North American Aviation Event flier

–Sponsored by John F. Nagel Foundation. A special “Thanks” to Pepsi

This event is possibly the most thorough representation of North American Aviation's technological achievements at any one event in the world in 2009. The Warhawk Air Museum will have a very complete gathering of North American's design achievements that undisputedly helped lead to Air Superiority in Europe during WWII which of course lead to ultimate Victory of the War. We will have the advanced NAA trainers AT-6 and SNJ on hand, the Allison powered P-51A, the first merlin powered variant P-51C, the refined bubble canopy P-51D , and finally the duel controlled TF-51D. These four separate model of P-51 mustangs represent the most complete lineage of the design progression of the North American P-51 mustang that you will find anywhere in 2009. We will also host the North American T-28 Trojan which trained and transitioned pilots into America's first fully functional front line Jet fighter..the North American F-86 Saber Jet. (static display only)

We are very privileged to announce that WWII Triple Ace, Col Bud Anderson, will be our guest speaker. Bud flew the P-51 Mustang “Old Crow” and was assigned to the 8th Air Force 357th Fighter Group “Yoxford Boys” in England, the 357th shot down 609 12 enemy aircraft in 15 months and Bud became their leading Ace with 16 ¼ victories. At 87 years old, Bud is an active pilot and CFI. In July 2008, he was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame, and he has been featured on the History Channel and the Military Channel. Bud will show a PowerPoint program about his life, and have a signing of his book, “To Fly and Fight”. The books will be for sale in the museum gift shop.

All aircraft will fly and limited Sponsorship rides are available to the public. For more information call: 465-6446. $1 off pre-sold tickets
